Week 6 - 19/8/2019

In this week lesson, we did another presentation showing what we got from our client meeting and showcase our logos we created. All four of us created different logos and the feedback we got was variant. The feedback I got from my logo is that my logos are sharp and hard looking so refine by making softer and organic shapes but liked the concept of it.

I made with Daniel and the Design Co-Lab group and volunteer with photography and decorating and also lending Rui and Joel Chen my equipment and assist them with photography as much as they need me.

We decided to recreate our logo with the feedback and use elements form our logos to make this brand new one. Melissa decided to create the logo and we all voted for the one logo that appeals to us the most and which represent Baby Makes 3 the best.

We also came up with different taglines and voted for the one we like most. We are still in consideration of the taglines.

I was then put in charge of doing research on equality for both man and women or husband and wife so we can include facts and statistic on our Facebook post and posters.

I was also in charge of making a Facebook banner so I created five to give different options as shown below. I used a square shape to create patterns in the banner with a white background so it doesn't feel busy. I made sure the logo and tagline were the main focus of the banner which.

Intra-trimester break - 12/8/2019

In our intra-trimester break we decided to do our 2nd client meeting on Monday, uncertainty other Kevin couldn't make it due to work. So us three were going to the interview but we at a meeting one hour earlier to discuss the presentation with Philip being our speaker while Melissa taking notes and I will be recording the interview as well as taking notes and add comments if needed.

We got to Carrington Health and have our meeting and discussed the client's needs and a tagline they would like as their first tagline was long and wanted to be simple and thought should be "Get Even" as something to say be equals in a relationship. We presented 3 stylescaps with mine and Kevin's was the first with logos and images that represent love, equality and belonging with using cool colours. They like the logo used in our stylescape but they thought to be too traditional. In the 3rd stylescape they liked very much for the colours used and the style is simple and something that's not tradition as more unique.

After the interview, we did logo research and did thumbnail sketches for the logo and also a 4 digital developed logos just to get one logo done.

Week 5 - 5/8/2019

This week we were supposed to do our second client meeting but Maria feels that we were not ready and decided to rearrange the meeting next Monday instead.

One thing we focus on was changing our persona and stylescapes as instead of working four different stylescapes, we work together and work on two for both of our personas.

One of the criticisms we receive from our persona were they too good to be true as they don't seem that realistic, so we change our male persona from being a stock marketer to a plumber tradie whose income can be affected as have to provide for the family.  We made the male persona that he's becoming a father and he wants to show he be more responsible as when a baby comes, there always a change.

For the female persona, we made her be in a same-sex relationship where we wanted to include more diversity as Baby Makes 3 wants to target every type of relationship.

Myself and other Kevin did extra research on stylescapes to see examples and did thumbnails on to layout the stylescapes for our male persona. Other Kevin started off the Stylescape and other was send to me to finish off and I send that Stylescape back to Kevin to check and refine the scape. After Kevin was done with the stylescape, we did a quick refinement and then I wrote a statement about our new stylescape.
